It's one of the traditional foods of Aboriginal communities in these regions.Finger Lime skin colour can range from yellow-green to crimson, purple, and black, and the colour of the fruit inside also varies, green, yellow, red and pink have all been recorded.

Finger Lime are reported to have high Vitamin C content, to be rich in folate, potassium and Vitamin E.
